CP Train in Port Moody

On Sept. 21, 2008, Canadian Pacific railways and VANOC (Vancouver Organizing Committee for 2010) will be launching a 'Spirit Train' to promote the 2010 Winter Olympics. The train will stop at cities across Canada, where concerts and other events will occur.

The Sept. 21 launch of the train will begin in Port Moody, BC (a suburb of Vancouver). The route, times and locations dates are listed below.

Canadian Pacific, along with Canadian National (CN), are Canada's main railway companies and have played important roles in the colonization of Canada as well as ongoing resource exploitation.

Anti-Olympics groups, including No2010.com and the Olympic Resistance Network, are calling for protests and actions to disrupt the 'Spirit Train'.
